My only experience too has had something going on to facilitate the interaction. Im currently in a game right now that has a moderator and is trying to follow a more traditional RPG style, but its not working fantastically well either.Well, the way I used to roleplay on sites in the past was that someone would make up a storyline (a mystery, a party, a disaster, an adventure for the characters to go on, etc.) and those interested would sign up their chosen characters, either existing characters or making up new ones. General guidelines would be set, and then we would get started, and the story would build, characters would be developed, and interesting scenarios would occurr. That's just my experience.
Either, really. I'm curious what would be the most useful. Are you thinking in terms of an active storyline for these characters, or just the ability to talk to other people as those characters?
